SCMS Journal of Indian Management

The much talked about SCMS Journal of Indian Management, published by SCMS Cochin School of Business, recently did wonders to its reputation by winning International recognition. What’s impressive is that the recognition came from the renowned Universal Group of Quality Research (UGQR), Paris and the Official Team for Impact Factor Evaluation. Interestingly, the journal from SCMS Cochin is the first one from the state of Kerala to win such a prestigious accolade, which makes the achievement truly special.

Universal Group of Quality Research receives several requests for Journal Impact Factor from all over the world, but only a chosen few are awarded the honour. SCMS Journal of Indian Management (P-ISSN: 0973-316) was one of the select few and was attributed an Impact Factor of 1.10. Thus, it joined an elite group of journals from the fields of Social Sciences, Management, Biosciences, Pharmacy, Applied Science and Engineering, and Languages to win this recognition for the published work.

While the institute works consistently towards creating future professionals and leaders in the world of management, it also focuses on their overall development as individuals. Moreover, it focusses on research, both for its faculty members and students, and the Journal that it publishes stands testimony to that. The journal edited by Dr. D. Radhakrishnan Nair is highly respected in the industry and academia alike in India. With this much deserved International recognition, it has taken things a notch higher.

One of the important elements of this recognition is that it has been included in Cabell’s Directory (US), EBSCO, PROQUEST, and Ulrich’s for the last seven years. The Impact Factor can thus be used by the organization and it will be monitored by The Indian National Centre.
